In company with the Category:Outdated and Category:Historic, this Category, through this template page, aims to affirmatively mark dates of most recent relevance & accuracy.

To use this, just include a year as the subpage in the template. The template you include, e.g. {{asof/2021}} Template:Asof/2021 will later contain the category [[Category:asof/2021]] and (by present convention) a link to the category, [[:Category:asof/2021]], that itself will be included on the page (so be mindful where you place category tags -- usually start is conventional, though category links are generated and put into the html footer of a categorized page by mediawiki).

WikiWG/Maintainers (User:Mcint (join us)) can create the template and category pages later if needed, so don't mind the red links to start.
