Fundraising Guild handles fundraising-related tasks such as PR and outreach efforts, and also helps moderate such efforts done do-ocratically by our members. Goals

1. Recurring donations needs to exceed monthly expenses
2. Events and campaigns to raise one-time donations and get people to become recurring donors
3. Grow participation along with sustained donations from philanthropy and membership.
4. Secure Noisebridge's future by raising enough to buy a physical building rather than leasing
5. Regularly ask for Corporate Philanthropists

Current Projects

• Door Grant: 10 k grant for the replacement of the front door: Completed in 2025, received 10k!
• Spacebridge Grant: A grant request to Awesome Foundation for a particular guild: Completed in 2025 and received 1k!
• Noisebridge Yard Sale: Sale of surplus in the Sewing Lounge including 2-3 industrial machines

Past Campaigns

Raising the Fun

Raising the Fun is a campaign which started in August 2018 with a goal to purchase a building before the lease at 2169 Mission ended.

Noisebridge Space Program (NBSP;)

NBSP; was the search for a new building which started in 2016. While not an official fundraising campaign, fundraising was a significant component. This campaign was abandoned when the lease at 2169 was extended till August 2019. In 2024, the project was reborn under new name: Spacebridge. The group held its first launch in the Spring of 2024 with some success. Additional launches are being planned.

Successes from 2024

• Quincenera: The Noisebridge 15th anniversary was celebrated with a bash at the 272 Capp St. location. We learned much and raised some funds.
• 2024 Year End Email/announcement: End of year fundraising solicitation: Success!
• QR Code dissemination: Venmo QR Code in every room at 272 Capp by early 12/2024, success!

Recruiting

Fundraising working group is recruiting members interested in growing Noisebridge's funding resources in a number of areas and in gaining valuable experience in nonprofit development..

1. Regular donor relations: ongoing fundraising to increase Patreon donors
2. Grants: grant writing opportunities
3. Encouraging low dollar events as small fundraisers ($100-400 class events)

Data centralization provides timely important information to the cause.
