the plane is taken apart somewhat, it still has a hole in the wing and a broken rib, but it looks like all it needs is some tape over the hole and don't worry about the broken rib.  There are a lot of spare parts including several extra front props and a spare engine, which appears to be brand new.

jake and evan took out the batteries and are making a new pack for the plane out of some non-dead rechargables.<BR>The remote needs about 9.6 volts rechargable pack, and we need dedicated chargers for the plane and remote, preferably powered by the lead-acid 12v battery in the toolbox / stand.<BR>

UPDATE: the remote and plane (and toolbox/starter) have batteries and chargers.  We are still looking for rechargable AA batteries in good condition to replace the unknown quality batteries used to power the plane, and for a second battery for the plane.


The servo that mounts on the wing, and makes the ailerons move, was removed by someone and the bracket for it is in a bag.  There is another servo there to replace it, but it doesn't have the right pulley mounted on its output shaft, and it's not mounted in the wing.

* someone will have to take the engine apart a little bit and loosen things up, and oil things. The throttle servo linkage moves but it doesn't actually make the throttle thing open and close.  If it can't be fixed, there is that spare engine, which looks brand new...<BR>
