Cool Places
Some visitors, guests, or participants find themselves spending too much time at noisebridge.
It's important to remember that there are lots of other cool places, to see, to visit, and to spend time enjoying!
Places
[edit | edit source]Consider some other places, almost as cool as Noisebridge, that
- The public library (in SF, or others in the bay)
- CCSF - Sign up for a free class. Then you can hang out at a half-dozen campuses around SF. They have meetups, showers, student resources and clubs.
- Public parks when it's nice out. A number of them have wifi
- Art museums - many have free lobbies, free galleries, and free days if cost is a concern.
- Other hackerspaces
- Cafes and bars (there are many nearby on Mission and Valencia St)
- Bookstores
- Mostly derelict shopping malls
Activities

- Find beautiful views
- Seek out cheap and delicious food
- Enjoy one of the dozens of festivals, parades, street fairs, or free meetups
- Go to free book readings at bookstores or libraries
- Perform at an open mic
- Take a ferry ride
- Join a board game night
- See a music show
- Take part in Poetry nights, 9pm Thursday nights at 16th & Mission BART plaza
- Volunteer - There are dozens of other local organizations that are worthy of your skills and time!
