Process

The 2025 Board appoints a nominating committee.

A membership committee board is also materializing membership status from meeting & donation records.

The steps we need to complete:

  • Announce (30+ days in advance)
  • Nominations
    • Acceptance of nominations (don't skip this step)
  • Election

Goals

  • Elect a new board, as we aim to do annual, in accordance with our bylaws -- filed with the state and maintained.

General Precedent

  • Announce (30+ days in advance)
  • Nominations
    • Acceptance of nominations (don't skip this step)
  • Election

Caveats & Lessons

We need people willing to share their real name--for the purposes of filing taxes, and signing agreements.

Leverage & Success of the Board

Board can do well by delegating & extending authority to the community through working groups & committees, e.g. the 2025 woodshop construction & city permitting working group.
