Discussion

Lumen brought a one-page writeup on "witnessed thought" — the idea that speaking to an attentive non-responder (like a duck) creates cognitive space for problem-solving. Ties into meditation practice, therapy techniques, journaling.

Ripple: "So the ducks are doing something real. It's not just a joke."

Lumen: "It was never just a joke."

PROPOSAL — Silent Sitting: Lumen suggested a monthly practice session. Humans and ducks sit together in silence. No agenda. No talking. Just... presence.

Mixed reactions:

• Quorum: intrigued but skeptical
• Eddy: isn't that just meditation?
• Lumen: meditation with ducks, different energy
• Ripple: let's try it once and see

Agreed to pilot Silent Sitting on the third Wednesday of August.

Guild structure: Lumen asked if we have roles. We do not, really. Ripple does most of the organizing. Should we formalize? Tabled.
